Our Village

Inhabited by families of Venetian pioneers transplanted after the reclamation of the Pontine area before the Second World War, today the village is a quiet place to live or spend relaxing holidays. It experienced its expansion between the 60s and the 70s due to seaside tourism. Surrounded a few kilometers by natural wonders, such as the three coastal lakes rich in interesting naturalistic aspects but also by keepers of millenary legends.

Lake of Fondi

The lake of Fondi has an exchange of fresh water and salt water inside due to the connection with the sea through the presence of two channels. This has a great positive impact on the variety of fauna and on the equally diverse flora.

Lake of San Puoto

The only lake in the area to be of fresh water, whose banks draw an almost perfect circle. A legend tells that on the bottom lie the remains of an ancient disappeared city “L’antica Amyclae”, a colony of Spartan formation.

Lungo Lake

The most coastal of the three lakes, so called because of its elongated shape with an extension of 1.8 km along the coast, from which it is separated only by a narrow dune and sand cord.
